Just 6 weeks till curtain up

Hi guys sorry it been such a long time since my last blog but as we get closer to the show my time gets more and more stretched. I have got a lot to tell you as then show is fast approaching it final stages of rehearsals. First things first, have you guys got your tickets yet? If not why not? I’ve been told by the South Holland Centre that tickets are flying out the door so make sure you get yours nice and early to avoid disappointment.

Over the past two or three weeks the team has been super busy. We have done a bag pack at Morrison’s to raise funds for the closed school show we are putting on. I would like to thank Morrisons for allowing us to go in there to do that. We raised a substantial amount of money. We also did our first outside variety show at the South Holland Centre which I hear went down very, very well. Unfortunately I was unable to see this because I had to go for an operation this week. Just because I’m out of action it doesn’t mean the cast aren’t soldiering on regardless. Last week we also did a first for Spalding as we did our very first flash mob. I got to say everyone loved it and keep your eye open for us as we are planning more flash mobs in the coming week!!

Now, onto the show. Can you believe we are just 6 weeks away from get in at the South Holland Centre (very scary). There’s a hell of a lot to do on this show not only because of the style and technical element but because what we are planning at St Nic’s is hopefully a version of ‘Little Shop’ that has never been seen before. To achieve this we have had to tear up the rule book and start all over again. Sometime progress can be slow but on the whole I have a super talented cast who are grasping the changes well. We are now just one dance away from completing all chorography, which is great, then we can really start putting the final touches to the show. I want to take this time to thank the whole team from the actors to all of the guys in costume to light sound etc. The list goes on. What I like to think is that here at St Nic’s we are one big family and we all work like one. That why I believe we can achieve such a high level of performance. If you don’t believe me get yourself a ticket and come and check it out!!

Thanks for reading my blog and I will see you next time
